Biography

Dr Jun Mai studied medicine at The University of New South Wales and completed her Physician training at Concord Hospital.  Dr Mai undertook advanced training in Nephrology at both Liverpool and Westmead Hospitals.

Dr Mai consults in private clinical practice at Cabramatta . She is also a Staff Specialist Nephrologist at Liverpool and Bankstown Hospitals, with admitting rights to Liverpool, Bankstown, Fairfield, and Campbelltown hospitals.  Dialysis patients can undergo treatment at any of these hospitals. Renal transplantation is supported through Royal Prince Hospital and Westmead Hospitals.

As a Specialist Renal Physician, Dr Jun Mai has special interests in:

  • Hypertension
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Dialysis, with a special focus in home therapies
  • Glomerulonephritis
  • Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease
  • Dr Mai co-authored of the Australian and New Zealand KHA-CARI guidelines on Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease. These guidelines were published in the 2015-16 editions of journals Nephrology and Seminars in Nephrology.

Dr Mai is available for private consultations weekly on Tuesdays at Cabramatta.
